In August 2018, I started as the new President of Loyola University New Orleans, which is like being mayor of a small town of 4,000 students and 800 adults, some of whom are experts in a variety of fascinating and often obscure topics. Before that I was a law professor specializing in domestic violence and then Chief of Staff at Tulane. And before that, a federal prosecutor -- which meant I had much better stories at cocktail parties. Ten years ago BAP introduced me to a husband, Gordon Stewart, who generously moved to New Orleans from Scotland, and we created 6 year old Lucy, our personal British American project. She says hello to all of you and continues to welcome your gifts. Together with my stepson Noah, we are a bilingual family speaking Southern and Glaswegian.
