As a child of the U.S. Air Force, a U.S. Navy wife, and a passport stamp junkie, Storme Sixeas has lived in nine U.S. states (including Hawaii), England, and Japan, and has traveled through 20+ other countries. She is a recovering financial journalist, Capitol Hill staffer, and lobbyist and a current purveyor of political intelligence to Deloitte’s tax clients. She resides inside the Washington DC beltway, calling into question her grasp of reality.
Storme is happiest when surrounded by stacks of books and newspapers, with cool or bossa nova jazz in the background; in the kitchen or the garden; or entertaining friends at events such as her soltice celebrations, murder mystery dinners, backyard film series, and winter wonderland spectaculars. She is the founder of Washington’s most exclusive and politically diverse co-ed book group, the Bibliophages, now in its 16th year.
Storme is an avid ocean swimmer and tennis player and has no use for team sports. She prefers the role of onboard bartender and chef but can crew a sailboat in a pinch. She has a fondness for cheese and can wiggle her nose.
