Originally trained as a musician, Sarah has worked as a marketing and fundraising consultant with arts and cultural organisations since 2005, co-founding the highly-regarded cultural consultancy Indigo-Ltd in 2007. In 2019, she decided to split her time between consultancy and being Chief Executive of Spitalfields Music, a charity based in East London that creates harmonious communities by supporting artists, audiences and local residents. She's a speaker at conferences around the world, gives guest lectures at universities, and leads regular fundraising training for arts industry bodies in the UK. Sarah is also a serial trustee and NED, with current roles inclulding National Campaign for the Arts, Royal Philharmonic Society, Motionhouse and The Stringcredibles. She splits her time between London and Birmingham. In her spare time, she plays Principal Horn in a range of orchestras across the Midlands, and loves going to theatre, gigs and exhibitions. Her ideal day would include walking in her native Scotland, drinking real ale and much laughter, so she's looking forward to the Glasgow conference.
