Matt Mackowiak (Mack-o-VEE-yack) is President of Potomac Strategy Group, LLC, an Austin, TX and Washington, DC-based consultancy specializing in political campaign management and corporate communications and public relations. Matt is a regular columnist for The Washington Times and The Washington Examiner and hosts a weekly “Mack on Politics” podcast where he interviews newsmakers.
He has served in senior roles for two U.S. Senators and a Governor. He serves on the Boards of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (Austin chapter), the national Veterans nonprofit Luke’s Wings, the Texas Cowboys and Balcones Country Club. Matt also serves as Chairman of the Travis County GOP and is U.S. Chair for the British American Project.
He and his wife Suzanne live in the Northwest Hills neighborhood of Austin and they have three spoiled dogs.
